Default Driving School

I've been driving for 5 months now and I still drive the s2k like a baby. Are there any driving schools out there that are good for accident avoidence / performance driving.

PA, MD, NJ, or DE would be prefered

The worst part is that we have a small auto-x course in town but I can't find anything about it. (Carlisle Fairgrounds)

Visit them one day and ask. If you know any police officers that are pretty cool ask them about defensive driving schools. One of my friends teaches a school in TN and he's amazing.

i have been to a couple but they are only in California. One was basic, advanced, and racing skills including evasive manuevers and that type of stuff. The other was a grip/drift school. And i know my spelling sucks.

My dad knows the local chief of police (he told him and where not to speed in the s2k) I'll try to have him ask next time he sees him.

When I got my license years ago...my father thought it would be a good idea for me to take the same tactical driving school he had to take as a state trooper to be able to handle the car on ice and in wet conditions during extreme moves.

It was a mistake...because it taught me how to have a lot of fun.

So I agree with the others...buddy up to your local law enforcement agency(s) and see if there is any chance you can participate in any training courses. Just remember to keep the sinister grin under control!
