Im a 4 going on 3 im a student at nashville auto deisel college and ive been there going on 6 months out of the 13 at minimum to graduate. I like it.

there's good money in diesel field. There aren't a whole lot of 'em out there (as opposed to gasoline engine mechanics) and it opens your employer prospects to a bunch of commercial salaried positions. Make sure you pay attention to drivability in your classes. Thats where the big money is.

oh hell yeah
since 1993 the number of rigs has exploded 90%
most diesel techs are looking at making into the 6 figures
thats real good money, not only for rigs though
CATs, trains and other heavy equipment fall into that too
