Thanks for the reply guys. I'm actually considering going all out and getting new headers .. I was looking at DC sports headers that I found for 283 (cheapest anywhere I could find) but I gotta confirm if my car has a 2 or 3 bolt flange .. because if its 3 bolt then i wont' be able to DC so imma go tomorrow to a shop and see if they can check it for me real quick. Do you think it would be wise to get a new catalyst convertor as well.
In regards to the welding option, i'm not too sure about. I dont' wanna have to consider having to replace the damn part if it becomes rusted and it will from what i've heard from a few people. I was actually considering returning the exhaust but I just couldn't bring myself to do that ... I've been waiting for quite some time for this and just don't wanna give up even though I shouldnt' be spending too money on this but oh well. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks |

Yeah it is a stock catalyst ... do you have any suggestions for high flow catalyst's. Not too familiar with those. After I confirm the 2 or 3 bolt flange for the headers and if its 2 bolt's .. imma get the DC headers asap. So when you guys let me know about the catalyst .. i can be on my way to getting my exhaust system hooked up .. still gonna probably have to wait 2 weeks but still.
In response to another question, I did not buy this directly from magnaflow. I bought it from 4wheelonline.com .. they were/are having an awesome deal on magnaflow cat back exhaust systems. |

i would go with magnaflow it shouldnt be too expensive and since its a reputable brand it should be good it should also give you anywhere between 1-3 hp gain and batter flow
good choice on the DC headers

What do you by mean OBD2 or O2 simulator? I am looking into getting the following headers --> DC Sports 4-2-1 CERAMIC HEADER, TWO PIECEHHC5012
The only thing that is confusing me about these headers is that it is for the SE model but they are saying it is not for the 3 bolt flanged LX/SE model. I don't understand that aspect of it. Does that pertain to the connection to the convertor? Aso in regards to the convertor ... I'm not sure which convertor might be best to get that will fit the the headers and the cat back. Any suggestions. The cat back that I got is the magnaflow 1997 honda accord kit. |
