16's-17's is where its at man. Anything over 16's the rubber wears out faster. The typical tires on a car last around 60,000 miles. But when you go 17 inches or higher the life of the tire is cut almost in half and last about 32,000. Unless you put alot of money in the tires. Also on your car watch the top control arms in the rear to make sure that the tires wont rub.

Edit: I verified this information with my friend who is a Manager at tire discounters. He's very knowledgeable when it comes to tires, suspensions, and rims.

Paint the wheels you bought. If you have them, you might as well use them.

How long ago did you buy them? Some places will let you return them if they are unused before 30 days.

well i got the rims i have now second hand, and i was thinking of getting them re-painted but i can get a set of msr 17's for dirt cheap where i work, so it wouldn't even be worth getting them re-painted, but i will probably use them for my winter rims if i don't sell them fairly quick here

Make sure you can get snow tires for them first. Tire selection starts to get slimmer once you hit 18".
