Well better pads = better performance (mostly in terms of brake fade and bite). Might as well spring for something good if you're going to all the trouble to do replace them.

If you're looking to go to a parts store and pick them up, go with the ceramics if you can. They aren't performance grade ceramics so they won't tear up your rotors, but you still get the noise and some of the heating benefits of ceramics. I want to say your part number at Advance is CMX 465 but you might want to check me on that. If those aren't available, then go for Bendix or Wagner. Whatever you do DON'T go for the cheapest thing they've got....you'll regret it later!
Oh, and leave the pad on the piston and sqwash it in that way with a big C clamp if you don't want to buy the spreaders....you may want to take the cap off your master cylinder when you do it too so it'll efficiently let out any excess air. |
