Possible New Project :) - HondaClub.com

Well I am thinking of taking on another project. I am looking into an all american truck. 2004 Chevrolet SS 1500 6.0 v8 all-wheel drive! What more could I want? I always say I need a truck. I will know for sure if I am gonna get it in July. I just figured I would give you guys and gals a heads up.

What direction are you headed with this one? 4-wheeling? Slam? Drag racing (my guess is this is the one)? Sounds like fun if you get it.

It will hopefully be a street beast. I plan on going all motor with spray. I figure I can make a streetable 11 second truck. Thats why I wanna go with spray. I will get better gas mileage that way.

we need to save the fuel for our more efficient little 4cyl zip boxes! - fuel prices r killing me!

No comment, man. In my opinion, trucks suck. BUT ONLY because of the gas prices. Don't get me wrong, trucks are awesome for many other reasons.

Well I don't really care about gas prices. The way I see it is the day I worry about gas prices I will walk everywhere I need to go.
Reason I want a truck is b/c I have 2 four wheelers now and a trailer. I would like a truck of my own instead of borrowing my brothers and I have to mod the truck. I can't leave anything stock.

^^^^I'm the same way. I want a small truck, maybe a Ranger or a Tacoma, cuz now that I'm racing more, I need a way to carry big stuff around. I still, have a trunklid in my backyard becasue I don't hace a car that it will fit into. I think that trucks are workhorses and should be in the mud. Love the mud. And I agree, gas hurts, but we've still got plenty, at least a century's worth in the ground. And there are plenty of ways other than drilling to get gas. I'm not advocating wasting fuel, but behind the wheel is where I relax.

I wish. I don't have any more room for cars. We have 6 at home and 3 people there. Most of them don't run right anyway.

Well since i got this Honda I've really kinda been stuck, the car has just about every possible mod, so its at the point were its etheir turbo, or put the effort in and make it a true built GSR block...and i dont really want to spend that kind of cash right now. So Im working on my winter beater, building it into a touge beast. Its a '98 subaru impreza 2.5RS, which is a nice base but really not all to much you can do to it for less than $1k. So far i've changed the awd settings to favor thr FR layout, strut-bars, and a cat-back. I respect the truck, go for it.
