I hadn't heard about it until a few months ago, but apparently it's as old as the RSX. There's a thread around here on the topic, I think in videos. I've forgotten where exactly.

Yes, that seems to be the problem. I still haven't heard why and Honda doesn't seem to be calling a recall yet.

Cause Honda is getting greedy. They are wanting to warranty less and less to make there fat pockets fatter.

Which is sad, because that's not the Honda way. It never has been and it better stay that way. Quality was one of the reasons I fell in love with Hondas. If they become like Ford and GM, ignoring issues in production, I will leave them for someone who cares, like Nissan.

They are doing that.... it mostly started with the 6th gen Accord V6 tranny issue. It was a defect purposely put into the tranny to get more money, but it blew up in there faces. Now they are integrating with domestic auto companies like Ford. If you pull the gauge cluster out of a 6th gen Accord you will see what I am talking about.

That's the 1997-2001 Accord, right? I knew Honda was integrating with domestics. The Saturn Vue Redline uses a Honda V6. I just don't want to see Honda's reputation go down the toilet. Soichiro Honda would be turning over in his grave.

98-02 is your 6th gen. and that is when the problems really started to arise. It was in the 98-01 Accord, Prelude and Odyssey. They say they worked out the bugs in 02. The bug was improper lubrication for 2nd and 3rd gear I believe.
