The definitive LS/VTEC guide.
Building the LS-VTEC Honda Civic Engine - Tech - Sport Compact Car Magazine By the way, you won't get a GSR engine without starting with a GSR engine. The B18C block has an oil cooler, a crank girdle, and is hand built. The B18B is none of those. You will get VTEC, but it's fair to mention that before hand. The swap itslf is pretty easy, but there are a few machining complications involved. It's all explained there ^^^^.

Honda's are addicting

I was expecting that much, but its **** close for alot less. Add in a handful of internals and it will be churning out the same HP numbers. You forgot i've had experiance with oil-coolers, and crank girdle's. While I doubt with this block on the crank girdle, I can piece together a oil cooling system from my old one.

Yeah, the oil cooler in the B18C is just a little sandwich plate. You probably have something better from your other car. The crank girdle can't easily be swapped over, but unless you're boosting, it's unneccessary. Just thought I'd let the people know what the difference was.
Good luck on the car. My buddy had a '92 DX and he loved it.

Yeah. I just think it's funny that the D-Series Jesus is now defecting to a B18B LS/VTEC. Whatever happened to exploring the potential of the D (haha)?
