Exclamation Suspension upgarade dilema

so i've been thinking of upgrading my civics suspention, but i dont know what to start with. What u guys think would be the best to start with shocks and prings, sway bars, toe links, control arms, forward links, tie rods, or any other. And also what brands are top of the shelf? the ones i know that are pretty good (at least i think they are) Tein, Tokico, and Eibach. Any help or suggestions will be appriciated, Thanks

Start with a good set of shocks. Koni Yellows or even reds, Tokico blues are both good choices. After that think about springs or coil-overs. but with those come height drops, and you'll soon have to buy a camber kit and bushings to correct the angle.

P.S.- Things like upgraded antiroll bars, and strut-tower bars will help alot in handleing.

You just have more options with the illuminas. You could change your ride setting with just a turn of the dial. Unlike the blues you are stuck with a stiff ride all the time. Thats about the only difference

If you have already lowered the car I would go with the Illuminas. If you are still stock height I would go with a full coilover like Tein or something like that where the strut and coilover is one piece. Not like a regular set of coilovers that just go on any set of struts cause you will kick yourself if you go cheap.

yeah the thing is i dont wanna lower it that much and i probably wont be able to afford coilovers, but anyway if i get coilovers how much would it lower my car?

P.S. it is all stock

A good set of coilovers will run around $650 to start.
eBay Motors: KSPORT COILOVERS 96-00 HONDA CIVIC 97 98 99 FREE SHIP (item 230250504915 end time May-14-08 04:50:23 PDT)

If you do the math on buying a full coilover to getting springs and struts it actually evens out. You are better off getting coilovers that are fully adjustable and made to perform instead of piecing something together. You understand that?( I started to lose myself there, LOL)
