Steering rack for 1991 Legend - HondaClub.com

Anyone know how much the parts and labor are for replacing a steering rack on this car? My freind asked me about it and I have limited experience with Acura. I know it's probably got a Sterling V6 motor.
Where is the best place to get one?

Probably the Acura dealer. Napa might be able to get you one so ask them first. I don't know how much it would cost to replace, but I would guess upwards of $500. The rack will also be a couple hundred dollars. If you are taking it to a shop, just let them handle getting a rack. Most places prefer that they find the parts as opposed to you bringing whatever you have. Plus they can get parts cheaper than you in some cases.

We quoted a guy $900 the other day for a 96 Maxima parts and labor. He brought the job to us b/c everyone else told him $1600!
