Cell Phones? - HondaClub.com

How do you all feel about cell phones in cars. I see them as incredibly distracting for drivers, and dangerous for others (especially those on two wheels), and strongly believe that they should not be allowed for use in cars except on the interstate in low traffic areas. Including hands free use, many drivers are still distracted by hands free conversations.

And the people who text and drive are just ridiculous, seriously, sometimes I want to slide over and give their door a nice dent from my well armored boot.

Not only is it dangerous, cell phone use is rude. If I see someone on their phone its as if they are telling me "My time is too important to care about others' safety, and I need to talk to other people while wielding a 4000lb missile."

Studies have shown that cell phone use is more distracting than driving over the legal intoxicated limit. You don't even need a designated driver either. Just hang up.

I can't vote on this one, but I just don't like the people that drive in the left lane on there cell and pay no attention to people going faster than they are.
I use my phone here and there but prefer not to. When I do its hands free and for a short time.

i'll only text when I am at a stop light, as for driving with the cell phone I am guilty of that sometimes but when I do I pay more attention to my driving then who i'm on the phone with.

I don't txt and drive all but stop lights. Also I rarely talk on the phone while driving. Since I got my license I have only done it twice.. Lol On a Random Side Note tonight I learned my truck can really spin the tires =).

I've seen it before, and some of my friends have admitted it. The worst I saw was a woman in an SUV on her phone, holding a big thing of coffee, obviously completely involved in the conversation and not on the road at all.

I thought about slowing down, getting behind her, and nailing the horn, but I decided that the parked cars next to her didn't deserve to be crashed into.

My physics teacher has said he's seen someone playing a mini piano in a truck once, honestly I wouldn't be surprised if he was telling the truth.
