Probably a bad synchro. If that's not it then you broke the gear.

well it was locked then the other day it was just hard to get into and now i can get into it easy but have to shove it out, could it be the tranny oil? its getting taken in tommorow for tranny oil an oil replace just to be safe

If it was something like the oil or clutch then all the gears would have trouble. Since it's only having problems in reverse, it sounds like a couple of the teeth on the gear/synchro have broken. So you need a rebuild. My advice would be to find a junkyard car with low(ish) miles and the same trans as you and get it swapped in. It will probably end up being cheaper than a rebuild. Get a quote first and do some quick research and whichever is cheaper, go for that.

Well if you want to do the LSD, then you are better off rebuilding. The diff in a front-drive car is at the bottom of the trans, so everything has rto come out anyway. If you can afford it and can stand having your car in the shop for a while, I would reccomend cryo-treating the gear set. They dip the gears in liquid nitrogen and align all the metal's molecules. Basically it will make the gears stronger and they will last much longer. Since you have to take it all apart, it might make sense to do this. It's up to you, but I would go for it if you can afford it.

well im only 16 so its not like im making thousands of dollars every week, not to sound like a smart a$$ just saying. and this is my DD so i cant really afford to lose it for too long with work and school an all
