Good points TJ and exactly what I have been trying to say all along. Also, if you're going racing seats must be FIA approved.

Just FYI, if you're not going racing nearly every aftermarket seat will be ok for street use (there are exceptions though, so only buy new and from a good dealer). FIA certification means that the seat passes FIA crash tests and will survive a racing accident. For street use, you don't need the FIA cert.
I still say the Si buckets will look cool if they mount the same way. I don't know if they do (they should since they also have to fit a bench seat in the same spot for normal Civics). Custom upholstery on your bench seats will also look cool. What might work is if you repad your bench seat. Adding some hip and shoulder padding would give the same effect as a bucket and give the seats some depth. Since you are not modifying any mounts, then it should be perfectly safe. Do this when you are getting your seats upholstered. Find a junkyard seat and try it out. Get some foam and cut it to the right shape. It will take some trial and error, but if you work at it, you can get the support and look of the buckets without having to modify the whole floor of the car.

Ask around and see if someone has that car and is dumping the interior. You can get them for a lot cheaper. Maybe a junkyard, but I tend not to look for interior parts there (you never know what has and hasn't been rained on).
Like I said, I don't know how they mount. My assumption is that they mount the same way as any bench seat, since the regular Civics all have benches. Even so, you will have to make sure that the seats have a similar mounting system. Since the bench seat has lots of support on the floor and from behind, modifying the seat a little to make the mounts work shouldn't be a huge deal. Just use your judgement. If you have to move the hole down the length of the seat (or the height of the seatback), then that should be okay. As long as you have an inch of seat aorund the hole, it should be fine.
