Default gas goes automatically

just last night when i started up my engine i think the gas is going by itself because i have a manual and i was just putting it into first gear and had to balance the car with only clutch and no gas being pressed then the car started rolling but i was not even stepping on the gas pedal. Man i think my car is really starting to mess up on me plus it wont even pass smog so i cant register it either and it has been since december 31st that i purchased the car!

Sounds like you got a Lemon. Either keep it and enter it in the next 24 Hours of Lemons (Google it or check my CRX profile) or find out what the lemon laws in Cali are. Then make sure you buy a car that hasn't been Frankensteined out of a bunch of random parts.

Sorry to hear about your troubles but i would check the butterfly in the throttle body and see if its gummed open in a matter of speaking.

The throttle body may be stuck. It could also be a bad sensor. Get the TB, O2, and MAF sensors checked out. Any of those would cause bad idling.

your clutch might be sticking, or your throttle cable might be too tight or your car has just entered the ****ter...

Are you just moving the car forward / backwards slowly using only the clutch?

I thought that was normal?

No, I understand what he's talking about. He's not giving it any gas and the car is rolling around in gear. Most sticks will stall out if you let out the clutch and don't give it any gas (my dad's Morgan will actually coast at idle, but it's a 1953 with a huge amount of torque and no power). My Integra would do this in cold weather, but only while the car was warming up.

From a stop? Huh, maybe my cars are too old.

I think the Si's DBW may have something to do with it, the car automatically adds throttle when the revs get low. Unless you are on a steep hill as long as you let the clutch out slowly its impossible to stall.
