You have to factor in what materials they are made of... Especially these days with more and more composite materials in aftermarket rims....the 17's I have on my car right now with the tire weigh less than the stock 15" rim alone... It is all in the batter to make a light cake! Now as far as putting 20's on a Civic... Well in my opinion 20's belong on an SUV or full size truck...anything else and it looks like it needs to be offroading and covered in mud!

I hear ya. You said a key word:"Stock" In my case I have alloy MOMO's(light) which from what I heard they don't sell in the U.S. anyore they are 15's, they look good and the price for rubber is phenominal. I like larger wheels but to keep an a$$-holes(car thieves) off my ride where Im from is a good idea for now. Thanx for the reply. N1delsol? I'm pretty sure dude with the 22's on the civic had his wheel-wells removed and no meat around his rims.Last edited by Screwd-up civic; 12-16-2007 at 04:03 PM. Reason: reply to n1 delsol |
