the reason it will void the warranty is because it overheats the ceramic coating on the header and destroys it. and it makes ur car faster because the hotter air is thinner and flows better. but its not a measurable gain on a stock motor but a highly moded motor its worth 1/2 a hp

On my last car I wraped the exhaust manifold, exhaust side of the turbo and down pipe. and It made a huge diforense in temp. I later wraped the hot and cold intercooler pipes and saw a large drop on the intake temps.(I was running a intake temp. system = Probe and gauge.

I wraped my crx's header the day I bought it and I think its worth the $ to do it.

I helped my friend wrap his turbo manifold since it melted the fiberglass on the bottom of his apc carbon hood, Im thinking of wraping mine to keep the hot air coming off of my manifold from contacting my filter (their right next to each other) but my manifold will be a Bitch to wrap since the pipes are so close to each other. It is funny when it rains and the water evaporates off of the one spot on my hood. I am selling a pair of Gude headers that are wraped for a single cam.

I'm never getting APC anything again... I've bought like 2 things from them in my life and they sucked... a short ram intake that cost me a pretty penny when I got a ticket for it, and a gear shift knob that stripped that same day... I am boy cotting APC! Who's with me???

Or for anyone that lives in the Cali area and can drive down to Orange County and check out SuperAutobacs. I don't like APC products
