I'm kinda worried, lately I seem to be getting alot less bang outta my buck...prices at the pump aside, my car seems to be getting alot less milage per gallon, and as far as I can tell everything should be in working order, meaning the air filter is clean, the tires are inflated properly...am I missing something here?

Have you been going to the same gas station every time? maybe they're watering down your gas
I've also heard that winter gas is different (so it works better in cold temps) and doesn't get as good of a milage as summer gas, I can't verify this yet as I've only had my car in winter, but I doubt that would affect you out in warm sunny California

Have you calculated how many miles per galon you're getting?
Wait until you're dead empty on gas then fill up the tank and reset the trip meter on you dash (take note on how many gallons it takes to fill it up to the top on the gas pump), when your neddle is nearly empty and you get the yellow warning light that youre running out of gas, take the mileage reading ( from the trip meter) then divide the number of miles by the number of gallons of fuel that you added to your car. That should give you a combined average You driving style/habbits influences the efficiency aswell as the temperature and many other things. try getting an average miles/gallon and we'll see if you're really having some problems |

I believe its because of the weather too. That and my front left tire seems to be getting lower and lower, but that's because there's something wrong with it. I gotta patch it, and make the tune-up. I haven't done it yet.
After that, I should be all set. |

Hey Fenix,
I'm getting about 24 or 25 combined hwy and city driving and I'm reving it up plenty. I've been checking since new and I'd say that the way I'm driving it's doing fine. It's not that hard to check your mileage. When you fill up next time just note your mileage, no matter how much or when you fill up again, the pump will tell you how many gallons to fill up totally. You just take that number and divided it into the miles you're tracking since the reset on the mileage. That'll tell you. But unless you're doing a lot of hwy miles, as in predominantly, then you may be doing fine. Tbrom |

I drive a '94 Honda Civic, 5-speed, with over 382,000 miles on it. I used to get 33 MPG. I now get 45 MPG since adding a mileage/emission improver and save more than 75 cents a gallon at the pump. An added benefit is improved performance. Try it and decide for yourself. mygreenmpg.mybpi.com
