Default Vsa

Driving to work my VSA indicator light came on as well as the check engine light. The yellow triangle exclamation point indicator lamp also came on but toggles off with the VSA button.

I have a 2003 Acura TL Type-S.

What should I be worried about?

One other piece of information about the indicator lights coming on. Ramping on the interstate as I accelerated, it bogged down as if it were not getting fuel, then caught up and raced forward. I'm not sure that triggered the lights to come on or if it has anything to do with the VSA, but it has not done it since. It seems to run fine, sounds fine, and the tem gauge and oil light are ok. I reseated the gas cap as well.

If the VSA is malfunctioning, what would be a fix? alignment? air pressure in tires?

If the light stays on, the VSA is off, so when you hit the switch and the light is turning off the VSA is on. (the light also blinks when VSA is active)

You may have hit a slick spot, and VSA stopped the throttle for a few seconds, but the CEL should not be happening.

Once I had a CEL in the oddysey that would not go out from re-attaching the gas cap, eventually once the car was refilled it was okay.

btw, it is always a good idea to check air pressure

You might have a bad EGR valve. Need to take it in and find out what code is stored.
