ok look. i just got my first honda

. an 88 accord 5spd with rather alot of rust

under the side skirts and wheel wells. i just wanted to know what i should do to the car and what will be needed to make the car pass inspection. any help will be much appreciated. thanx

what kind of inspection are you talking about? To get the Safety cert? If so, I don't think rust will really be a problem for you to pass that test.

i didnt know there was any other inspection. i just need to get an inspection certificate to get this thing on the road. maybe the laws are different in each state. they'll always find something wrong no matter what though.

Take it to a mechanic that you know, that way he won't kick you around on stuff that's not important.
