In my 2000 Honda Civic EX, the cd player has quite working. Now, I think it might be the cold weather, because when i run the vehicle with the heaters on after about an hour or more the cd player will kick on. I thought that maybe grease in the cd player froze up and stopped it from working. the radio still will work, but everytime I try the cd it says error and spits the cd back out. I hope that i can figure it out so maybe I don't have to buy a new one.

Sounds like a grounding problem. Do you know how to take the headunit out of the dash?
If so find the solid black wire on the back and cut it in 2 pieces with good amounts of wire from the stock unit. Get some extra wire (and do not use speaker wire) and run it to a new ground. If that isn't a fix then I suggest a new head unit.
