Just so you know, VIS Racing says its for off road racing only (right....)

From what I've seen, customer reviews are very good for VIS Racing CF hoods

I have noticed that. Does that mean you have to 'pin' it? If a hood requires pins...do they come predilled? Or should I be asking the manu these things?

I'm not sure if they are predrilled, but I think hood pins are required, the (usually) silver pins in the front two corners that usually are lockable with a pull loop on top. They are for safety, because a CF hood is lighter and might not lock in correctly

Ok. So I was just doing some more research and it looks like rolled edges are better than cut ones, and grade A is top quality. Anything else I should know?

Some hoods do not require pins, and I'm not sure about washer nozzles.

You also loose sound deadening, but that shouldn't matter.

Hood dampers might be a good decision too, because I'm not sure how the stick hood holding thing will work.

btw, even if you don't need pins some people say they use them to make sure the hood dosen't fly up on the highway. I think you have to be going pretty fast, but if you regularly drive at high speeds they would be a good idea. (but we all know you don't speed )

Its only speeding if you get caught...atleast thats what I tried to tell the last officer.

Sound deadening loss...should that be a good thing?

So hood dampers and pins are starting to sound good.

yeah, besides, hood dampers always look better

You might also want to consider lockable hood pins
