Default How much does it cost to get windows tinted?

How much does it cost to get windows tinted? because i personally think my Honda civic would look alot better with tinted windows, and i need to have a few prices in mind so i can save up and buy the tinted windows.

Ive seen tinted windows costing from 80$ per window, to 300$ per window, it all depends on where you buy your tinted window design from, i would strongly recomend looking on ebay

yea like accord said, it totally depends on the quality of the job, and where you get it done at, but they do look sweet on a civic

I also understand that some places will just slap on some cheap tint and charge a ton. Then it bubbles up. So make sure you use a company with a good rep. A do-it-yourself job is a little iffy to me.

If it costs a little extra, it will be worth it I think.

You do need to watch out, though, about how dark the tint is going to be. Some places will still do the very dark tint, but having it is against the law in a lot of places, and you will get a ticket. Buy from someone reputable, then you can make sure you are getting windows that you won't have to have removed.

Oo, good point. Here in Colorado the limit is 10 percent, and I have seen them nail the living kaka out of people for having over that. Definitely check!

Also my neighbor thinks people could be mistaken for drug dealers if they have tinted windows. <shrug>

Yes, 3M has a 7 year warranty I think. As far as darkness, I would find out what my local law max is, and then stay about two stages above that. In Savannah it was 10% forever and they just changed it the first of this year to 20% and have been steadily raking in the dough! It would seem you could be grandfathered in because it was done before laws change, but the law enforcement agencies dont see it that way. All they see is $$$ going down the road.

Oh, and if you go on road trips, make sure you find out the laws along your regular paths. These small town barni fife's are real jerks!

Whoa, Eyes, I didn't even think of the road trip problem. Hell, I think I'll just go buy some nice sunglasses, lol!

Love your signature, BTW! It should be my motto.

I know that alot of states are adopting the 35% rear side windows, Nothing on the front door windows, nothing on the windshield, and I believe 35% on the rear windshield. And the state of PA charges $110 in fines for tinted windows.
