I wanted to post this just to let people know... If you buy an carbon fiber body part for your car the best way to keep it looking new is to get it recleared before installation. The manufacturer claims that their products have UV blockers to keep your hood shiny. In actuality they use cheap clear coat with little UV protection and over time your hood will yellow and fade. If you keep your car in a garage alot or covered it will take longer to fade.

But to keep it looking newer longer without getting it recleared is to keep it washed and waxed regularly and don't use harsh cleaning detergents on it (ex.Dawn Dish Detergent). The best washing detergent to use in my opinion would be anything with Carnuba added to it or anything that will rejuvenate the cheap clear coat.

I just wanted to let you all know from personal experience and other friends cars that I have seen.

Yeah the hood $550 then to reclear with quality product will probably be around $150. So you can look for about $700, but an OEM Honda hood costs about that by itself.

550?? I wish I could've gotten my hood for that, was about 720 for the hood an a lil over 8 for the fenders.

That's cool, I already had them clearcoated when I got the hood & fenders
