Default makin' used rims shiney again

Bought these on eBay.
eBay Motors: Four 2004 Honda Accord 16" Aluminum Rims. (item 160153800683 end time Sep-06-07 10:04:41 PDT)
They are not perfect with the usual few scratches and curb rash on a couple spots. I plan on buffing out the imperfections. Anyone have info on the best way? Thanks a ton. This is a great board!

I would just powder coat them. You can usually find a local shop that would do it for 60 a rim or less. Let them do the work, if you buff them out it is realy hard to keep them looking even some spots are shiner than others just looks weird. With powder coating you can add some color to if you like you can have them leave a rim what ever you want realy.

There are some scratches that I would like to sand down around the very outter edge. Thanks but 240.00 to powder coat them is not in the plans. Roof, siding, electrical work and a new driveway are

They seem to have a clear coat on them. Is this true? They are Honda factory.

Oh my God. I forgot all about that stuff. Used it on the 15 X 10s when lifting trucks was popular back in the late 80s! LOL Thanks!
