Default Interior Lighting

I'm adding some lighting into my car to accent the interior colours. I've got it all sorted out, and I want to hook it up so that when I turn on my headlights, the interior lights will come on as well. I'm not sure how to hook this up. I've opened up my fusebox inside, and I'm not sure if I can access the wires I need from there, but there were even to many wires to count.

Just looking for advice on hooking the lights up. As well, I have to hook up a ground wire -- do I connect that to the frame of the car, or is there another wire somewhere I am supposed to connect it to?

Thanks

Okay, no worries....I got it. I connected the power wire to the headlight fuse in the fusebox, and connected the groundwire to a screw on the body of the car... They look good, they sorta match the glow from my stereo. Thanks anyway :P

Be sure to use a inline fuse because the power to the head lights is probably more than needed to light the interior and might be more than your wire can handle.

When you hooked up the interior lights, did you get a bigger battery to handle the added power requirements? I got a stock 06' Si that I'd like to do interor lighting to someday. But I don't want to burn out the car with added electrics. I get scared running my Radar detector and cell phone charger at the same time with the stereo cranked you know? Leanring about cars here. >.<

as long as you are not hooking up like $1000 worth of add ons the factory charging system will do just fine...

normally the alternator runs at 75% when stock so you can add a good bit before upgrading

Please do not bump old threads, if you have a question please create a new thread.

btw, LEDs draw very little energy, so they are very useful if you are worried about the draw on your power system.
