Thumbs up Full Coverage

I have been reading on the products of 3M-Stoneguard Etc.. would anyone advise having ones entire car done? And if so, should I completely detail it first?
So far I must admit that this site is superior to other "acura" clubs...thanks everyone for your prompt and knowledgeable replys!

Most people only have often chipped areas such as the hood, front bumper, and behind the wheels. This stuff is not cheap, and even though it is pretty clear, you can see it when you look closely, so I wouldn't put it on the entire car.

That said, I've heard this stuff really helps, especially with newer Honda's thin paint.

I'm not sure if you want to install this yourself, its really hard to line up correctly and to get it to seal well. In a lot of ways its like protective clear tint, for your paint. Even if you are taking it to a shop, you may want to clean it first, I'm not sure about putting wax on though, just remember whatever is on there is going to be under there forever.
