definately a deeper sound and it "seems" like an hp gain but the sound may have something to do with it. the mechanics at work swear its an hp gain though. we have 5 master mechanics at our dealership in Modesto so i take them at their word.

Yes, there seems to be a slight power gain, at least percieved. And it sounds a little more aggressive, to. I don't think the gain could be more than 2 or 3 hp, right?

the drop in filter is a good alternative, especially if you don't wanna void your warranty. when i first got my car i did the K&N drop in filter...i didn't really notice any boost in power (except for maybe in the higher rpm range), but my fuel mileage improved a lot. when i installed a K&N short ram i felt more of a boost in power. but the drop in filter is a good idea, and they are washable/reusable too...a recharge kit is inexpensive.

A drop in K&N worked great in my Tacoma. I got better mileage and more power.

The S2K's airbox is designed to work with the MAF and engine that it started with. Becareful modding F20/F22s, b/c you can lose power with some parts.
AEM makes a bypass valve to prevent hydrolock. It works 100%
