Do they still make the del Sol at all? I remember seeing them when I was younger, and I thought they looked awesome. Especially a purple one I always saw zipping through town. What happened to them? Were they just not popular enough, or was there a problem with the car itself?

I was wondering that, too, and am disappointed that it's gone. The yellow ones were tasty little morsels, too. :-)
I do remember my ex's stepdaughter having some problems with hers, but don't remember exactly what they were. She did get hit a couple times, and they were her only accidents. She's convinced people really couldn't see her. Getting it fixed was quite expensive, too. |

Ah, I'm disappointed too. That little purple speedster was my dream, and if they had kept making them just a little while longer I could have had one, too
Speaking of yellow cars, some people do say that they are harder to see. Now, I don't know how you could miss that bright yellow, but that was always my brother in law's excuse when he got in accidents with his yellow car. Not a real reliable source, I know. ![]() |

i believe in Japan they have a VIN code of EG7...and were known as the Honda Civic del sol, but yes, also known as the 3rd gen CRX as well.

and to the OP, they were discontinued for a couple reasons. One was because of some of the flaws, even thought they fixed a few of them, and also because people liked the miata better, which came out about the same time. Due to low sales, they were discontinued. They are cool little cars though. I loved mine when I had it. You can still get one, look around for a good used one. |

Well, someone posted over on the prelude forum (I think) that they are possibly bringing back the lude. So maybe they will bring back the Del Sol.
What do you guys think? Would it be worth it to them? |
