Default b16 swap possable?

My friend has a 97 civic lx with a d16y7 and manual trans. I have a spare b16a2 from a 99 civic si. Question is, does he need to change the trans or will it bolt up. What else will he need to swap it in? Thanks for any input.

Only a b series tranny will fit on a b serries engine and as far as other things he will need to swap someone else will have to tell you because I have never been involved in a swap yet so I cant give you any info I dont know but he for sure has to get a tranny from a b series engine and of course get the clutch and flywheel from the b series the bolts are different on the d series.

He will need the trans. Besides, the B trans is better. You will also need the Si mounts, wiring harness, ECU, accessories, and probably the radiator and fans. Basically you're building your own Si and the best place to get all of these parts is from an Si clip.
