Question what is better a b-series or a k-series?

I have a question about the k-series engines everyone that I talk to said that the k-series is better than the b-series? But if that is so I would like to know what makes k-series so much better? Are they faster stock engine or what? thank you.

k series have a lot of torque and horsepower over the b series. However, the b series engines are a lot cheaper and easier to get a hold of. The k series engies are the new honda v-tec engines that will make a lot of new noise over what the already great b series have done. I still love the b series engines but the k series are more for you buck stock

K series with out a doubt, ONly down fall is the price.

K series have the BEST honda flowing heads and even the best port and polished b series head will not flow as good as an a2 or a k series head. Bolt on power is insane. More torque, more rev. But parts are uber expensive.

I'm a huge fan of the B16A. I think for your dollar it's going to be faster. Save up for a K20A and buy a B16A then use the left overs in mods, you should out run a K no problem.

do you know how to put a k into a civic? because from what i can tell from your question, it seems like you dont. unless of couse you plan on just paying some a ton of cash to fab up everything, like transmission cables and everything else

K motors are by far better. they didn't replace the B series for no reason. the K motor is built with more power and torque, and not only that, but it is able to withstand more HP than a B motor can. plus, K=IVTEC B=VTEC

From experience I-VTEC is crap.

The B series just needed an update. As has been said over and over, you get more bang for your buck with a B. K is good if your wealthy, however most are not.
