It costed me 1,500 but I put in an excedy stage 1 clutch and fanenza flywheel I helped do it but payed a friend of mine to do the bulk of the work for me cause I have no time to do it myself with 1 day off a week and I am usually spending that day watching football games and visiting family and friends so I payed him to do the bulk of the work for me. It took a lot of work to do so be prepared for a whole lot of headaches if you do it yourself cause you will have to run all new cables do some welding get a different mount maybe even take the stock petals out and replace them with the manual ones cause the brake might be too close to the clutch petal. Also You will have to weld a plate on the shift box underneath the center consoul because the automatic hole is way too big and too much heat will be forced into your car if you dont. You will need to get the part after the cup holders for the manual consoul and the master cylinder and the other one i cant think of it right now its too early sorry. Depending on what you want is what is gonna depend on the price. A used ex manual transmission is usually about $250.00 you need the ecu for manual trust me get it my car is in the shop because I went cheap plus I had a hard time finding a obd2 manual ecu ( most people use obd1 its the best for tuning) obd1 ecu runs about 100 to 150 conversion harness runs about 90 to 150 cables just depends on the junk yard clutch depends on brand or stock and same for flywheel. All the parts ended up being 1100 so I payed him 400 for labor but he got all the parts together and he had the knowledge to do it and I basically helped him but he did most of it. Hopefully that helps maybe i overkilled it but more info is better I think. GET THE RIGHT ECU!!!!!!! trust me just look at my thread car went to s****

As cool as this swap is, I find it necessary to remind everyone...YOU'RE DRIVING A HONDA!!! They're not rare and they're a dime a dozen. If you really want a stick, just sell your car and buy another (which is what you should have done in the first place). I'm not putting anyone down who has done this or bought an auto, but in my eyes there are much better ways to spend $1500. Just a reminder to think a little bit. Besides, cars that already have stick are cheaper than autos anyway. You could end up with a profit if you play your cards right.

Like I said it's not a personal attack on anyone here. But to anyone who is thinking about doing this swap, it should be considered that if you want to build a fast car, you need to start with a manual (or budget in the cost of rebuilding your auto). We all have our reasons for doing what we do, but again, a little planning goes a long way. Ask anyone who has done any project, and if you know what your goals are, you'll save yourself a lot of heartache and money.
If we were talking about Deuce coupes, that would be one thing. But we're talking about Civics. There are plenty of them out there, and a shocking amount of them have manual transmissions. It's just silly not to take advantage of that.
