in one of the back issues of HONDA TUNING they did an article on converting an integra DC to all wheel. Well it really only worked out to be rear wheel assist. Basically when the front tires lose traction the rears spin. The custom fabed the rear system from the 80's civic wagon 4wd and had a custom tranny built. It is possible but exspensive and time consuming. As for using the crv parts i have not heard about that one but you could be a pioneer on that one. My friend and I are working on getting a civic hatch EG coverted to RWD. We are going to use the S2000 platform and it looks like it should work with lots of welding and fabing.

That would be rather expensive. How ever, i wouldn't use the crv 4wd systeM .Instead id use the acura mdx vtm4 becuase the mdx uses the civic platform for a chassis. Also, in order to get the car to be rear wheel drive or front wheel drive, i beleive hte motor would need to be implated sideways to make a rear differential spin. ITs costly and not worth it in my opinion

yes it is costly if you pay someone else but if you know how to weld and fab then it just takes time. And i know about turing the engine but thank you for stating it. I also agree with the MDX statements.

welding and fabing are not going to create a MUCH cheaper project, the vtm4 and all wheel drive components them self are expensive to begin with.

true if you have to get them from someone but if you own a wrecking yard and have a wholesale account with lots of companies then most likely not! My friend has all this.

I have seen the Crv swap before. I will see if I can dig up the info/pics. I'm not sure which way I would go here, or even if I would spend the time/money to go this direction. Want AWD, just import a Skyline!!

Default keep it fwd

man if u get all wheel drive on a stock civic it will suck anyway. ull need to dump like 6 grand in the car so its decently powered. a stock civic motor is way underpowered for allwheel drive..
