I am still learning about the ECU systems but i was wondering if anyone knew if a P28 ECU will work correctly in a non-vtec. To be more specific I have a 1993 Civic CX with the P05 (sohc non-vtec manual) ECU and I bought a P28 ECU (sohn vtec manual) ECU for my mini-me swap and I want to use the ECU for now until the head is finish then I can put the head in? I know I can use the v-tec feature but because it is not hooked up and/or functioning will it still work with my set up or will the car run like crap and have a check engine light on becuase of the v-tec not being hooked up. Keep in mind both of the ECU's are the same but one allows v-tec to engage.
