Red face Pink Honda Civic 2007

HI ALL

[font="Tahoma"][font="Impact"][color="Plum"]
Im new to this forum and this website so please be patient as im new to this.

Right ....

I have a black Honda Civic 1.4lt DiSE 2007 or what ever its called. All what i see these days is middle aged men and women driving this car. I say this because i am 20 years old, and i want to do something to my car, you know what i mean i want to glam it up without making it look like a chav-mobilee...

I was thinking of getting Pink side lights, pink ambient lights, pink neon speedo lights, and alloy wheels. I am stuck now... i dont know what else to get for it, also i have to take my age and insurance into consideration as i have been driving for 2 years... PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Welcome to the forums.
And I guess you are free to do whatever you want to do in your car. Afterall, is yours. Although I must admit that filling the cars with lights and neons is automatically going to label you a "ricer".

Also, you might want to check that any change you do doesn't void your warranty.

I realize the ladies love to "glam" their cars. =) (My sis wanted to do this too) Its actually illegal to put lighting underneath your vehicle so do not do this, or at least dont complaign when you get pulled over all the time.

If it was me, I wouldnt put any pink lighting in (Color preference), but I did put in lighing in my old Accord in the interrior of my car underneath the dashboard in both driver and passenger side which creates a cool light blue glow that lets you see the floor board. It was pretty cool. Another idea is to put in different color guages. If you have a custom audio system you could also use lighting in your truck or underneath the hood to show of the engine.

These days I put all my money underneath the hood where it counts. I did put light blue headlight film on my current car. You can see what a mid 20s guy would do if you go to my profile and click on "My S2K2 pictures."

Good luck!

Your car looks very buff, but i dont want to do anything under the bonnet yet as i wont be able to afford the insurance on it. Plus is there anyway humanly possible to get rid of sixth gear in my car cos i hate it, im not use to going into sixth gear, plus i always slip it into reverse or 4th which isnt a very nice noise lol. Nah i will put pink lights in, cos ive never seen a new honda civic glamed up lol. But cheers for the advice, if you have anymore plz contact me or reply

When shifting from 5th to 6th shift down with a little pressure to the right, do not force the shifter into gear and at speed reverse should be locked out.

I thought reverse was next to first on 6 speed cars.

^^^^Only if the car is British, lol. Actually most cars with an even number of gears have some sort of lockout device installed for reverse. For example, you have to push down on the gear lever or pull up the shift knob or something like that (my dad's morgan has 4 gears, with reverse on the left. You have to pull the shift lever up until it clicks before it will shift into reverse. That way you can't accidentaly shift into reverse).

Removing 6th is a waste of money. If you downgrade to a 5 speed, it will have to come out of a base RSX or an EP3 Civic Si (2002-2005). But with the 6-speed, you will get better gas mileage and better performance. Part of the fun of that car is rowing through the gearbox and if you swap in some random gearset, you will lose that (since it won't be tuned for your engine and it's powerband). And no, you can't just remove the gear for your transmission. Learn how to drive it a bit better and you won't see any need to swap it out.

Get used to it. Easiest way to do it. They don't make a 5 speed for that motor. All they have are 6 speeds. If ya want a five speed I'd say sell it and get an early 2000's Si with a B16
