Aight check it, got a 98' FERIO and it has a d16y7 in it should i swap it or continue to mod it???

yeah its all up to u. u could always boost and get really good numbers. and the bright side is if you blow the motor you can always pic one up pretty cheap

LOL. The D series isn't all bad. I've seen some quick boosted D series motors. However, as cheap as it is now days to swap a B series, why wouldn't you?

+1 yea d series are good gas savers but if u want more hp for ure buck go b16 when i had a ferio i had an h22 in mine!im telling u ule feel the difference between a dual cam and a single cam!

put a D16Y8 head on it and boost that bish..and then when you blow it up, that's when you should upgrade to a DOHC motor. since the Y7 has no Vtec, it's sluggish...boost can fix that though. with the Y8 head swap you should be good though as a first step. Y8 cylinder heads are pretty cheap. good luck.
