MSD
Ok beaters got one for ya. I have a Mugen ignition system, however I just traded my steelies for a full MSD kit. Which is better? Right now I have NGK plugs....is this just one of those things I should install and see which system creates more power? Anyone know what the HP gain is on the MSD kit, when switching over from stock?

MSD is a great product. It puts off alot more heat than stock.

I would think that the MSD with the Blaster coil will put out alot more than the Mugen ignition.

It's testing time!!! Unless someone else has done this before, and you happen to find them, you may just have to dyno the car with the two parts. Since you got wrecked over the weekend, however, I guess this is moot now.
I would guess that the MSD is more powerful, but harder on the rest of the electrical system. The Mugen won't draw as much current, so it will last longer. I don't really know, it's just a guess. |
