This may come across as stupid but have you taken it to a shop, they do free comp checks. maybe they can plug her into their computer there and find an issue. I would try checking your sun visors or maybe check the halogen levels in yer lights maybe they need refillin. ;p But really good luck with it. I hate it when I have an issue I just can't pin down.

PS
I called the X wife about the issue with her Celica and turns out she totaled it a week after she left me. hahahahahahahahahahaha! Gotta Love it.

Well if it doesn't have a check engine light it won't show any codes. I would first try to do a full tune up. If that does nothing you can change the IAC valve.

well, I have just recently put in new plugs, I switched to bigger plug wires, engine flush and oil change, and used a fuel injector cleaner all in the last 1000 miles.

Well try to clean out the IAC valve. I actually cleaned one today on a Ford truck and it fixed the surge problem. If it still surges just change it. They are about $90 at AutoZone

I don't want to be the one to be a ****, BUT, this topic has been talked about MANY MANY times. I remember replying to at least 3 others. The search button is there for a reason. That's all I'm sayin. I hope I wasn't too rude.

easy Beaters. I'm sure you probably meant no offense, but written expressions typically don't make the facetious non-offending tones obvious.

Ask any racer, and they will tell you that you can't drive an auto well. The whole nature and design of autos just makes them inadequate for road racing. The double-clutch setups are as close as it gets.

In my opinion anyone who is incapable of learning to drive stick should not be allowed to drive period (that only applies to the people who have tried and failed. I think that skill should be taught in Driver's Ed. More people would drive stick if it was).

Look Beaters, You are making an @#! of yourself assuming that someone does not kno how to drive stick. I took my drivers test in a 5 speed. If you read my profile, you would see that I plan on doing a manual swap. Im a cook, not a millionaire, these things take time. For now I just want to keep my car running while I get money together. I didnt come here to argue with a little kid that has nothing better to do, so if you dont have a legitamate approach to my problem, then post your ****y comments somewhere else.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Ok, first of all I'm not some dumb kid. If you've read any of my other posts or looked at any of my cars, you would see that. If you had just said you were planning to swap later instead of "you don't know me" that would have ended it right there. No need to get bent out of shape over it. I'm also in college, so I too am flat broke (that also means I have plenty to do, not just argue). You don't know me, so don't assume I'm just some other kid. If you look at the first reply, I did actually give you my thought, so I'm not just blowing smoke.

You can drive stick and you are planning to swap in a stick later on. Fine. Case closed. We can move on now.
