You guys missed one very important fact in the original post...he has an EX...as mine is too!
THe EX has a slightly peppier motor cause of a different cam... You actually get 15 more hp out of the same motor than the LX... Stock EX is rated at 129 Stock LX is rated at 114 Come on now...do your research! Yes they are both 1.7's...but a difference here and there is all that is needed to make a big difference!

Big difference is a relative term here. I pretty much lost my respect for the Civic (and the RSX) once the double-wishbones died. The new one does not excite me at all. I'll take my late 80s and mid '90s cars thank you.
