Okay, here's my idea for what Honda should build next: Build a new RSX from the new Civic chassis (except make it double wishbone suspension). Drop in the K23 turbo engine from the Acura RDX, and the Super-Handling All Wheel Drive. What do you get? Acura EVO that's what! Honda has all the parts, put it together!!!

That would be a nice ride but they would want 3 arms and 6 legs for it.

Honda Coming Soon

so its awd you can have more power spread out at all of the wheels therefore easier for the car to move i dont mid heavy vehicles.. specially the supra but i mean evos and stis arent light.. but i do agree wit primetime.. if the mugen si is $30-$40k and is N/A then i think that civic would run $40-$50k...i mean the only wya your gunna get that is to if your richer than all get outs cuz its gunna be rare and its gunna be expenisive but it would me insane if they brought it out

K23 has more torque. Plus how can you fight the EVO and STI without a turbo?
I bet if Honda really worked on it, they could do it for 30K. They already have the drivetrain built, they just need to make it fit into a FWD chassis. I always thought it was dumb that the best Honda drivetrain is stuck under an SUV. Hey HAsport, you guys working on this? |

Put on a rally wing and you have it. It'll probably be over 40K though. Still, the RSX would have been perfect. It's a lighter frame to begine with and has a sportier image. Honda cut it because it was too much cheaper than any other Acura. Throwing in SH-AWD would have bumped it up to the 30K mark and it wouldn't compete with the TSX.
Thinking along the same vein, Honda also needs to build a 4-liter or bigger DOHC i-VTEC V8. Stock makes 350 hp with redline of 7500 RPM. Si makes 400+, redline 8000 RPM. Type-R makes 500 and a 9000+ redline. Put that gem into the next S2000 and NSX(with SH-AWD of course) to make it famous, and the Ridgeline, Pilot, MDX, TL, and RL to make it profitable. Honda already makes V8s for ALMS, IRL, and F1, so it already knows how to build a good V8. Come on Honda, beat Ferrari at their own game! The best part? In 5 years, these motors will be at most $5K in the junkyards, since they won't be rare (well except for the Type-R edition, but since when are they ever cheap?).
