CVCC was a type of egine (which stood for: Compound Vortex Combustion Chamber), not the original name of the Civic; so if a Civic had a CVCC engine, that's what they called it. For instance, there were Civic DX's, RS's, CVCC's, and others.
And there were Accord CVCC's. And about the old S-series cars, they were called "S" for sports, and 360/500/600/800 for the cc displacement of the engine. Same as the S2000 today. |
