weird smell useing AC - HondaClub.com

Any one elce have a Weird smell when they use there AC and recycle air option? Smells like mildew but if you use the fresh air option it goes away.

Try changing out the filter...you may need check the ducts to make sure there is no holes...if it is a fairly new car it is somewhat common and will go away with time...

2: I think he's saying you got a ~freyon~ leak?! and that I would agree on...

If you mean engine type smells, see the other posts...

If you mean a mildewy smell => .... If you run "recirculated" mode on your AC - you will notice a "mildew" smell over time... Run in fresh air mode occationally to help prevent this, there is even a "duct cleaner" product you can but to help out. I have allergies to mold, so this is an issue for me....
