does anyone know if a header from a D16Y8 will work on a D16Y7? thanks in advance.

sweet, so to do this do i need the cat from a D16Y8 also?

most likely you would need the cat. Especially if you are going from the pre-cat system to the standard cat system.

You will need the cat from the Y8 and will have to mod you exaust for all of it to fit and also you will have to extend your O2 sensor wires to reach the harness. or you can just say F* the cat and the Y8 headder will bolt up directly to the stock exhaust.
