Well depends on your buget having to pay for labor is going to kill you. I would recommend whatever you get to change all the seals and such on the motor. Even though it might not have high miles you are still swapping in a older engine. B16 is going to cost more no doubt about it. Labor will probably running you 500 and up depends on where you live and who you know.
If you need to keep things cheap do a D15B swap and then save for a turbo. Will get way more bang for you buck. Will have around 130 hp right after the swap for about 400 bucks. Where is a B16 cost more like a grand I think for 30 more HP. |

i have an 89 hb and recently my timing belt gave out. luckily i had enough for a new motor.... and originally wanting to go with a b16 thats what i picked up for only 1850 shipped (hmotorsonline.com) + 380 for hasport mounts. i plan on going all motor and i am estimating 230 to the wheels with the mods i want to do but thats a secret until i pull those #'s
