Default Rear Disc Interoperability Question....

Ok, I have a '95 CIVIC with Rear Drums - and I have an opportunity to purchase STOCK '93 CIVIC SI rear disc brkes....

Will they fit on my car? Is there any other parts that I would need or do I just install the caliper and rotor?.... any help is appreciated....

if you can get the whole rear subaxle assemblies I would do that...

you may or may not need to change out things like suspension mounts...lines...brakets...etc.

that way if you buy the whole rear end you will have everything you need...and when you are finished sell what you have as spare parts or take the left over parts to a metal recycler and sell for $/lb

Ok, after researching this further... i'm gonna scrap the idea for now. I think my first real mod should be a direct bolt on -- this is a bit over my head.... ..... maybe in a few months ....

I myself am in a bit of a quandary on this topic as I want 4-whell disc brakes on my 98 Civic EX. Will the Si model of that year work? Or do I have to find something else. Any help is lovely.

Here is a link to a good write up, just click on the 4 links at the bottom. I have been working on Honda/Acura for over 11 years. I usually know the answers to most of the questions on here and if I don't I know where the info is. --------> Shows A - Z : Tricked Out : Honda Civic: Drum-to-Disc Brakes Conversion : DIY Network
