Default SRS red light on dash

I drive a '95 Honda del sol. I have 65 K miles. Recently, the red SRS light went on on the dash. It is lit all of the time. When I contacted the dealer, they said they could turn it off, but it would cost $400. I'm wondering if there is some way to find out why it is on and how I can turn it off for less than what they say it will cost to do the job. Any help toward this end will be greatly appreciated.

Respectfully,

Robert Ackerfield
