okay. Ill look into that, But im more into keeping its original engine and building it to its max performance. So Where do i start would be more the question that i was looking for. Ill think about the engine swap but for now im more interested in the original engine max performance capassity. Ya i know thats weird.

Building a single-cam makes little or no sense to me, much less if its non-vtec . Throw that engine away if you have the money and go for anything twin cam and/or vtec atleast. A d15B will give you almost 130 hp in stock if I'm correct, its the closest to stock but there is little potential to it since its pretty much maxed out. On top of that, it has little support from the aftermarket.
If you're looking for something close to stock, the b16 is your best option. But if I were you I would definetly do that K20 R, hands-down. Definetely not worth to throw money away for nothing, might aswell donate it to the site IMO. But its up to you

Keeping the engine? If you want to transform your DX into an EX and SI then the engine has to be the first change since the SI uses a different one.
