Default how to unlock security codes in an Acura Tl

I just recently purcgased a 2003 acura tl. of course, with purchasing a pre-owned car comes the hassle of finding out the stereo's security code. I went to my local acura dealership and they told me that the code is located on the back of the stereo (which doesn't make much sense) and that they would pull the stereo out for me for a whopping $120. I decided that I would pull the radio out myself, not a good idea. They really make it hard for people to steal these things. I eventually gave that up, and while I was placing the console back together I found a sticker on the side with an 8_digit number. I figured I would try this number out, but now I have run into a whole new problem. I can't figure out how to punch the code in. I must sound like a dumbass, but does anyone have any helpful tips they could share with me? Cheers,

Jakub

First off, if the dealer sold you the car, they by law are required to provide you with the security code free of charge, They should call up corperate acura... On a side note, check the glove box, on the sides inside and out, may have the security code.

when i installed my cold air intake i had this problem. i called up the dealer and they told me it would cost $125 to "hack" the stereo to unlock it. luckily i found the code on a laminated card in my glove box a few days before my appointment at the dealership. i hope you find it.

lol @ dealership hacking, they get a big log book with all of the codes based on the radios serial number.

If a dealership cant even service a car right, how the **** do they intend to hack a radio.

He has found the code, he was asking how to put it in.

Jara, try to turn the radio on, it will display code. Use those numbers and enter it, when you enter the last digit the radio will come on to some radio station (none specific) and the clock will flash. You will need to reprogram all your presets and reset the clock.
