Thumbs up What kind of audio system do you have in your ride?

I'm curious to what other members have, and how much each part of the system was etc...

The Accord has an Alpine CVA 1003 headunit, Alpine EQ, Alpine 6 disc dvd/cd changer, Alpine type R 6 1/2 components in the doors with the tweeter in the dash, Alpine type R 6x9 rear dash, and the speakers are run off of a Rockford 400x4 with a 1 farad capacitor.

The Camry has a double din Pioneer touch screen with DVD and Nav. Alpine Type S 6x9 in the doors and rear dash. 2 Alpine Type R 12s on Rockford 800x2 pushing 1200 watts.

I would love to give you prices on all of this stuff but I lost track on costs, but needless to say they both sound GREAT.

Mine is stock except for the Kenwood 1000 watt amp, 12" dual voice coil, and the epicenter I see no need to change anything else right now since i already have the nav

In my crx I have a duel indash 7" touchscreen DVD/CD player. Doors have sony explode 5 1/4 3 ways and back are sony explode 6x9 3 way custom fit in the hole for 5 1/4. I also have a Kicker 1100 watt mono block amp pushing a 1200 watt pioneer 12" slim sub in a truck box.

In my E250 work van I have the same amp and sub behind the drivers seat. Stock stereo(am/fm only not even a tape deck) and stock door speakers.

The s2k was a little difficult to figure out since driving a convertible changes acoustics. I went with an Alpine headunit, Focal components, alpine amplifiers and ultimately decided on a Sony 1200W (max) 10 inch sub in a hidden box in the trunk (rather than alpine).

The Focals are incredible but they cost a pretty penny. You can pick up the k2s on ebay for 500-700 for a set -- I would recommend them heavily but price shop. I would have gone with something a little more midstream in a sedan but I needed something I could pump ampage to so you could hear it with the top down.

Anyone have experience reverse mounting subs? The hidden box is small and doesn't sound deep. I wonder if reverse mounting it might help since the speaker magnet width and depth are large -- take up most of the box. Thoughts?
