Thumbs up New Head Unit

So, I purchased a Dual had unit when I first got my car, and so far it's been great, but now that I've upgraded my sound system the current head unit seems, well, lacking. I just wanted to know what some of you have in your car, and if you recommend it or not.

stock civic si, highly recommended

what does your current sound system consist of? do you have amps or rely on the head unit for power?

I'm hesitant of adding an amp to my car since I want to keep the crisp sound of the alpines that feel like they cost an arm and a leg.

lol, I finally clicked on your car profile to see that you're running alpine speakers, if you spent the money on alpine speakers you shouldn't cheap out on the head unit, since it is the one item in your system that every component depends on.

you may want to take a look at crutchfield to see what they think of the alpine units.

btw, you wouldn't want to come out here today, there's still snow and salt on the roads, and I got pelted by sleet / mini hail today while driving, seeing that stuff bounce off my hood freaks me out

Alpine are great head units. I will have to agree TJ on this if you have already got everything done in alpine I would keep it the same. I have a Pioneer in mine and I love pioneer I think you good a quilty headunit for a good price. I have everything in mine done in pioneer. I have installed car audio/video for years now and I believe that if you keep everything the same brand that it actually has a clearer sound.
