yeah true i mean theres something in looks and something in performance, If i would have my car satisfying me with performance ( pretty much maxed out) i'd start making it look good since i wouldn't be able to invest my money in performance but i don't think its gonna ever happen

I let the motor do the head turning for me =). Atleast thats how it is with my Dak and how it was for my Accord. My Accord was a very clean little car. Many people loved the color of it. But its performance was whack. The car still was known to turn heads. But I didn't drive around town trying to race anyone either. I never had that car over 75 and that was on the freeway. To be honest I haven't had a car over 85 period. That was also on the freeway.

I am more of a performance person myself don't get me wrong, but I do like looks as well. I like to go back and forth now. I will get something for performance and then something for looks and so on so forth.

But something that does get my goat is when they do all looks and minimal performance. When I first started showing my car I was mostly performance and car audio. They had one girl that had a 4 door 6th gen Accord that would win first just for the looks. She had a body kit, weld on exhaust and an intake. The car was stock! I had more money in my stereo that she had in her who car. I had bolt on exhaust, supercharger, headers,n2o and the list goes on. It was basically a sleeper. After she took a few awards from me for that **** I got a kit, wheels, carbon hood and shaved my stock trunk. Needless to say people ignored her ride after that LOL

it would piss me off too when you put all your money in the car because i can imagine how much that stuff coasted you and than you have some person with like a 1000$ in the car and they win the **** because of look, going back to audio it would be one of the first thing i would do because i just love good loud music and i cant imagine my car with some old stock honda speakers that are 10 years old ,no way

True. So very true. But thats how the car show world works. Its not my thing but to each his own. Don't get me wrong I like show cars and I like going to shows but I don't wanna build one. I hate cars that are absolutly all show and no kid. This kid at skool has a 2nd gen Eclipse.. Riciest car in Mason atleast. It has I/E/H body kit, wing, blue decal, and a hood(not cf). Also has sum 12's in the back. Things slow as balls he thinks its the sh!t but no1 but him likes the car. He blew the first motor in it because quote from one of his buddies "That car can spin them threw the first 2 gears". It was stock that kind of abuse on a stock motor somethings gunna go. I think the kid lost his license though so no more of him for a lil bit.

I don't mind audio at all. I'm gunna have a full out system in my car when I get another.

I love my sound as well! What I really liked was I have raced her before as well. She was talkin smack at the show saying her car was fast b/c of the intake and weld on mufflers. All I could do was laugh at her and tell her to put up a few bucks. She just saw me puttin my car in the show and this was before my hood was up. She thought I was a stock car with an exhaust..... I loved it.
Needless to say when I popped my hood her jaw dropped. She wanted to go for a ride and ride she did. LMAO

The point of my paper was that even slow guys can be racers. It's about the attitude, not the car. Everyone has to start out somewhere and that's usually in a slow car. Like I said, the guy I was talking about drives a BMW and I called him a Ricer.

My Integra had a set of brand new Alipnes in it. That was the only way for me to get noticed was when I was blasting out some SYL or Mudvayne. Now I've got a BOV that does the job pretty well. I need to figure out the stereo in my Sil-Eighty, it really sucks even though it has Pioneer everything.

maybe that car was awsome for ricers but when you have a car with at bodykit on it and all the crap people think that its gotta be fast and then you tell them its stock and it just doesnt go along i think the order should be 1 performace 2 visual but in my school i noticed some guy has an eclipse and he got rims but they were stock size and he got those thin tires and now he has a huge gap between tire and the bottom of the fender it just looks so funny and tells me a lot of the guys knowledge or the other one has tires ticking out about maybe an inch and when i see that car im always wondering how could you do it. some people in are just so stupid and have no idea of performance or customizing
